The first final of Play In Challenger will be played this Sunday, 25 March, by French Grégoire Barrère and German Tobias Kamke.

It is THE nice styory of this week! Grégoire Barrère, 24 years, ranked 406th, and coming from qualifications, follows his nice adventure in Lille after his victory over German Yannick Maden, ranked 137th (6/2 2/6 6/3). Native from Charenton-Le-Pont, after a complicated 2017 season, which saw him falling down beyond 600th ATP ranking, recovers some colours since the start of the year. After winning two future tournaments, he keeps going on, but this time at the upper level. Will he still follow to capture his first title in challenger ? Answer this Sunday afternoon…

To do so, he will need to upset strong German Tobias Kamke, 31 years, ranked 214th. Being used to play on main ATP tour (he was 64th in 2011), he was very impressive all along the week, especially by his explosivity and self control. It was particularly the case in semi final against young French player Maxime Janvier. After a tight first set, and eventually won by German player in the tie break, a litigious ball at the beginning of the second set seemed to annoy young French player, who did not manage to come back into the match. We must however underline the beautiful week of the Picard (who especially defeated Quentin Halys in the second round), who confirms his nice start of the season.

So do not miss the final this Sunday afternoon at 3.00 pm in TCLLM (2, rue du Mal Assis, Lille) to live this first exciting final, full of promise, and conclude on the better way this event!
